About Huemul Travel
Huemul Travel began with a shared connection to the mountains and to the people who come to Patagonia to experience them.
Alan was born in Patagonia and knows the roads, routes and practical details that make travel through the region work. Ben was born in North America and made El Chaltén his home, bringing experience with international travelers, photography and the perspective of someone who chose to build a life in Patagonia.
For around three years, we had been developing the idea of working together and creating a transportation service that connected visitors with the places we know best. On August 12, 2024, we founded Huemul Travel.
Alan leads our driving operations. He has more than two decades of driving experience and knows the roads and conditions of Southern Patagonia. Ben works behind the scenes, coordinating reservations, luggage, routes, schedules and the practical details that keep each transfer organized.
We are a small local team providing private transportation for travelers, families, trekking groups, travel agencies and production crews moving through El Chaltén, El Calafate, Torres del Paine and the surrounding region.
